Diagrama Foundation Appoints Two New Trustees

Diagrama Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Trustees, whose extensive professional experience will further strengthen the organisation’s Board and support its ongoing aim to improve the lives of vulnerable adults and children.

Richard Dunn brings over 40 years of experience in Human Resources management at all levels, including strategic leadership and senior operational roles across a range of organisations. His career spans the rail industry, G4S, and small and medium-sized enterprises, with a strong focus on the development and training of individuals. Richard joined Diagrama in 2013 as Head of HR, where he played a key role in establishing and developing policies and procedures to support the organisation’s growth. In 2024, he stepped back from his executive role and has now taken up this new position as Trustee.

Helen Dean joins the Board with 30 years of experience as a management consultant, project manager, and commissioning manager, primarily within the criminal justice sector. She spent 17 years with the Metropolitan Police Service, working on a wide range of initiatives from policy development to implementing major IT systems. She later joined the Youth Justice Board, where she led governance and strategy development and oversaw commissioning services for young people in custody. Helen joined Diagrama in 2017, contributing to business development and professional standards, and worked on a variety of projects to develop new services and innovative ways of working before retiring in 2023.

Commenting on her appointment, Helen Dean said: “I’m very excited to rejoin Diagrama, as a trustee. When working here I was able to see, every day, the dedication and innovation the staff and management team brought to championing the children and adults they support. To be able to contribute to Diagrama’s ongoing development of services to support vulnerable people to achieve their full potential is a real privilege.”

David McGuire, CEO of Diagrama Foundation, said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard and Helen to the Board of Trustees. Their combined experience, insight, and long-standing connection with Diagrama will add real strength to our governance. Both bring a deep understanding of our values and the sectors in which we operate, and I am confident they will play an important role in guiding the organisation as we continue to grow and develop our services.”

These appointments reflect Diagrama Foundation’s commitment to strong governance to support vulnerable adults and children.
